Rinse the suit inside and out with cool, fresh water immediately after diving to remove salt, sand, sunscreen and body oils, which degrade neoprene and seams over time. Fresh water rinsing is essential to prevent salt buildup and maintain flexibility.
Deep Clean Periodically
Every few uses (or when it starts smelling), soak in a basin of cool water with a wetsuit‑safe cleaner or mild neoprene shampoo, gently agitate, then rinse thoroughly.
Dry Properly
Hang the suit on a wide hanger in a shaded, ventilated area until fully dry. Start inside‑out first, then flip to dry the exterior — this helps prevent mildew.
Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources (e.g., dryers or heaters), which can damage neoprene elasticity.
Handle with Care
Put on and take off gently to avoid overstretching seams or tearing the neoprene. Keep fingernails trimmed and clear grit from zippers and seals.
Zipper & Seals
Rinse zippers and any Velcro closures after use to keep them debris‑free and smooth — this helps prevent wear around critical seals.
Storage Tips
Store the wetsuit completely dry in a cool, dry place on a wide h
